Catching up

Well it is mid-January and I am just getting the Thanksgiving
And Christmas pictures posted ! I have some excuse my computer went to
computer heaven and it took me awhile to decide on what to get for a new one
But we are up and running now and I will try and do better.
We are having a very mild Winter in Spokane this year no snow on the ground
That is great for driving but I do kind of miss it
With that said Gary is preparing to have a second knee replacement in February
so I am sure he won't miss the snow. He will not be up shoveling this year.
All is going well in our new house, most projects are done :)
Well I did say most, we are getting ready to lay tile in Gary's bathroom
it had carpet in it and that won't work with a walker during his recovery.
After his surgery we will be on hold for awhile, Gary is glad I am sure.
Happy January

Christmas 2009

Merry Christmas 2009

Once again we all gathered at Garianne and Dewy's
We had a great Christmas nice and relaxing
This year was Amiee and Marks family's turn to do the
"Simple White Envelope"
This has become a family tradition that we all love
each year one family gets to take all the money we used to
spend on adult gifts and use it for helping others.
We all send the money to that family and on Christmas after
the kids get to open there Christmas gifts from Grandparents
we all get to hear how the "Simple White Envelope was used.
This year Amiee found the biggest need in a school she volunteers at
She and her family took all the remaining names off a sharing tree
and headed to the Mall. After the gifts were bought and distributed
they realized some other needs, a food drive was started and much needed
plumbing work was done for a family without running water.
Mark and Amiee and there children did a great job and we were all
so lucky to be able to make a small difference in someones Christmas
We are all so Blessed
