Immovable and Strong

Today at church we had the opportunity to sing this beautiful song, the words are so inspiring that I wanted to share them with all the beautiful women I have in my life. Daughters, Granddaughters, Daughters in law, Step Mothers, Cousins, Sister in law, and Friends. Take the time to read these words and remember who we are. Daughters of our Heavenly Father.

We believe in Jesus Christ our Savior. We know He lives, that His teachings are true. We gladly share and defend His gospel. We strive to do what He would have us do. We are daughters of our Heavenly Father. We are sisters with a mission to full fill. Our prophet calls us to stand united, we boldly voice our answer; "Yes we will"!

We believe that families are eternal. We will uphold them as mothers and wives. We know the rising generation needs us, to nourish and direct them in their lives. We embrace our sacred roles as women. We are happy; our efforts are blessed. And with the Spirit to guide us daily, we diligently do our very best. We will stand strong and immovable in family, we will stand strong and immovable in faith. As we reach out with love to those around us , we will stand strong and immovable in relief. With one united voice we sing our song. The Lord needs each of us we all belong. We kneel and humbly pray for help, then we get up and go to work. As we move forward Sisters immovable and Strong!

The Hiawatha Trail

September 21st Gary and I celebrated our 13Th wedding anniversary. We decided it would be fun to do something different. We had heard about the Hiawatha trail from friends, it is a 15 mile bike ride that follows the route the train took from Chicago coming to the west. It starts on the Idaho and Montana border. It is a 2% downhill grade so not a hard ride. We invited family members to come along. Steve and Becca, Clint and Kristin, their two children 8 year old Valencia and 5 year old Vincent, Garianne's daughter Amia also 8 years old and Gary and I. The weather had been warm the day before our ride but turned cold and rainy. You will notice in the pictures some of us are wearing garbage bags to try and keep the rain off. The trip took about 4 hours and then we had almost a two hour wait for the bus to take us back to our cars. We were all pretty cold. Since the trip we have all said we would do it again but only if the weather was better.
We spent the night at the Silver Mt. Resort in Kellogg Id. they have a 25 million dollar water park. That was a lot of fun. Both big kids and little ones enjoyed it. It was a wonderful way to celcbrate our Anniversary.

We have had a very busy Spring and Summer. We planned to do some projects at our home this Spring. Then we recieved the announcement that Gary's youngest daughter Rebecca was getting married July 26th. The wedding was going to be at the Spokane Temple and the reception would be at our home. Wow we needed to get busy. With help from Rebecca and Ben and Tony we were able to get everything done before the wedding.

Getting Started

With a little help from Gary's daughters I am learning to Blog. Remember this is a work in progress.
I just thought this would be a fun way to stay in touch with all of you who don't live in the area. Also a way to let you know what is going on with us.
